Situated in Jalan Raya Medan-Berastagi nearly 50 kilometers from Medan, HillPark Greenhill City is the biggest theme park on the island of Sumatra. With its exciting three themes, namely the Lost City, the Heritage and Toon Town, it offers wide varieties of excellent fun rides and other forms of entertainment.

Going to ‘The Heritage’, you can see a magnificent castle along with interesting treats for families in the form of carnival games testing your agility, as well as other indoor games. There is also a high-tech 4D theater, making anyone feel the thrill with the effects of HD digital movies. Looking for the nearest snacking treat? You can go to Taipan Express and Popcorn and Ice Cream corner.

Another theme park in HillPark GreenHill City is the Lost City. Coming to Lost City, you’ll be transported back to the Jurassic age with its ancient rocks and dinosaur theme. While checking out the huge rocks and fossils in the area, do not miss some favorite rides like the Train HillPark, the Big Wheel and Thunder (Rollercoaster). Also, the Lost City food court is nearby for quality family mealtime.

The third theme park is the Toon Town. Upon entry, you’ll feel like entering the extremely colorful world of cartoons. Unlike Lost City, it is suitable for very young kids, especially for toddlers and pre-schoolers. A number of typical kid’s rides are also offered like mini-bombs and complete mini-mill. You can also find the cute Tree House suitable for snapping photos. There is also a Toon Town foodcourt inside the park for an instant hunger fix.

Apart from the three main themes in HillPark, it also boasts Camelot Hall, an amphitheatre that can accommodate 1, 200 people, holding different sorts of events from concerts, plays and other entertainment. The amphitheater is equipped with state-of-the-art sound system providing its audience full satisfaction.

Now, before getting inside, you have to pay an entrance ticket that cost $1.50 (Rp 12,000). The rides vary in prices but the overall rate costs Rp 10,000 to 12,000. While not quite affordable for Medan standards, converting it to US dollars, it costs around $1.50 per ride. On the other hand, the indoor games cost around Rp 1,500 to 12,000. The tokens cost Rp 1,500 per piece but you may need more than one token depending on the type of game.

There’s more to see in HillPark GreenHill City besides the theme parks and the Camelot Hall. Just next to the HillPark is the Villas of Greenhill City, still from the same developer. Plenty of people from Medan and Brastagi purchase their town house here and recently, another one has opened up at the rear of HillPark.

Still next to the HillPark is the GreenHill City Retail Area that consists of mini-market, shops, restaurants and cafes including Garuda, Paparons Pizza, KFC, California Fried Chicken and Soup Ikan. Shopping centers are available like the Macan Mart and other retail shops. This is where most visitors from the HillPark GreenHill City dine since it has wider choices compared to the ones inside the Theme Parks.
